HAIR - Ashfield Musical Society

HAIR is about a group of young people in New York City's East Village in the late 60's who band together, taking on the feel of an American Indian Tribe. They are a New York contingent of flower children. They question authority, the society they are living in and the war in Asia. They yearn to change the world. They begin by recreating themselves. They commune, join hands in protest and in song. Groundbreaking in it's time, Hair shocked audiences with it's lyrics, subject matter & by using a racially integrated cast. With hit songs such as 'Aquarius', 'Hair' & 'Good Morning Starshine', it defined the genre of "rock musical".

Now you have the chance to be a part of this historically important show! We are on the look out for Actors, Dancers & Singers with great rock voices.

Auditions are by appointment only so you must apply to this listing.
