A brilliant and hilarious English play, by the genius Tom Stoppard. In this absurdist farce, two theatre critics, review a whodunnit. The play within the play opens with a body lying in an manor on a foggy afternoon. Soon there is a love triangle, a card game, a murder, and a bundle of over-the-top scenes. Throughout the show the one of the critics laments about always being the 2nd best critic, whilst the other shows a personal interest in the female actress’s on the stage. Through a series of events, the two critics become involved in events on stage, and what is real, and what is performance becomes blurred. As the twist of the play with the play’s murderer is revealed, several other twists are also revealed, making the audience question everything they saw from the beginning.
